Welcome to our meditation series on Letting go and release. The meditation for day 5 is “Releasing the Weight of Expectations”.
Find a tranquil quiet space where you can sit or lie down comfortably.
Close your eyes and take several deep breaths, slowly drawing the air into your lungs, as you exhale, you release any tension that you hold.
As you breathe, imagine a gentle, golden light enveloping you, which is soothing and protective.
You find yourself standing at the edge of a calm, serene lake. The surface of the lake is still and it reflects the soft beautiful light of dawn.
By your side, you notice a basket. It is filled with stones. These stones are heavy and come in different shapes and sizes. Each of them representing some expectation that you have been holding onto.
You take a moment to pick up each stone, noticing its weight. As you do that, you acknowledge the expectation it represents, it might be an expectation from society, from your loved ones, or it could be a self-imposed expectation.
As you examine each stone, you reflect briefly: Is this expectation serving your well-being and personal growth, or is it stifling?
One by one, decide which stones you wish to keep and which are the ones you wish to release.
For each stone of expectation that you decide to let go off, gently toss it into the lake. You watch the ripples dance across the surface of the lake. You acknowledge the stone as it sinks, and with it, the weight and pressure it represented.
As you release each stone and each expectation, you feel yourself becoming lighter and more aligned. You begin to understand the nature of your true self.
As you stand taller, free from the unnecessary weights of expectations, you are now able to breathe in deeply, drawing in strength and clarity.
You whisper softly to yourself: “I release expectations that do not serve my highest good. I trust in my unique journey and the wisdom of my heart.”

Gradually, begin to breathe a little bit more deeply, bringing your awareness back to you body and the surroundings around you.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes, bringing you back into this present moment.
When ready, open your eyes, holding onto the clarity and freedom you’ve just experienced.

Welcome to our meditation series on Letting go. The meditation for day 4 is “The freedom in letting go”.
Find a quiet calm space where you feel safe and can relax, either sitting or lying down.
When you are ready, close your eyes and take some deep breaths. Inhale slowly and deeply and exhale. Allow the rhythm of your breathing to centre you.
Feel the support of the chair or the ground beneath you. It connects you to this present moment.
Imagine yourself on a mountaintop, holding onto a bundle of balloons. Each balloon represents something you’ve been holding onto – it may be a past hurt, a worry, or an old belief.
You feel the pull of these balloons in the wind and you recognise the energy it takes to hold onto them.
One by one, you start releasing these balloons. As you let each one go, you feel a heaviness and great weight lift off from you.
You watch as the balloons drift into the vast sky, getting smaller and smaller until they disappear from sight. With the release of each balloon, you begin to feel a sense of spaciousness and freedom growing within.
You bask in the feeling of lightness. You recognise the liberation that comes from letting go.
When the balloons are all let go and your burdens released, you notice the vast open space around you. The sky, the horizon, the gentle breeze, everything speaks of boundless freedom that surrounds you.
Let this sensation of freedom and liberation fill you. Remember, that you are not confined by the past nor any limiting beliefs that you currently have.
Softly whisper to yourself: “In letting go, I find freedom. I am light, unburdened, and free.”

Allow this affirmation to echo within you, resonating with your newfound sense of lightness and of freedom.
When you are ready, gently bring your awareness back to your breathing. You feel the breath as a symbol of the ever-present cycle of holding on and letting go as you breathe in and breathe out.
Slowly open your eyes, coming back to the present moment, carrying within you the wonderous feeling of freedom and liberation.
Whenever you feel burdened, remember this meditation and the vast sky, reminding you of the freedom that awaits when you choose to let go.

Welcome to our meditation series on Letting Go and Release.
The meditation for day 3 is “Embracing Change with an Open Heart”
Find a quiet space where you can sit or lie down comfortably, free from interruptions.
Close your eyes and take several deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
With each exhale, release any tension in your body, feeling your shoulders relax and your arms and legs restful and heavy and your mind at peace.
Picture yourself standing at the entrance of a lush, vibrant forest. The path ahead is marked with signs of change: some trees have recently fallen, there are new ones sprouting, and the landscape in front of you is constantly evolving.
You feel the uncertainty that is before you, but you also recognize the beauty of the transformation all around you.
Begin to walk the path. As you move forward, notice any resistance or fear that arises with the thought of change.
With each step, imagine breathing in courage and exhaling resistance. Visualize a protective, glowing light around you, assuring you of your strength and your resilience.
As you continue, you encounter clearings in the forest where sunlight pours in. These symbolise moments of clarity and understanding. Pause in these bright clearings, absorbing the warmth and the light.
As you continue on your journey, you arrive at the heart of the forest. There you find a tranquil spot to rest. When you are at ready, imagine a bright light growing larger and more radiant in your heart space.
Visualize change as a gentle stream of light entering your heart. Instead of resisting, you feel your heart become open and porous, allowing the light to flow in freely.
You feel the merging of your essence with the energy of change, recognizing that change is not external but a necessary harmonious part of your journey.
Place a hand over your heart and repeat silently “I welcome change with an open heart. I trust the journey and embrace the evolution of my being.”

Slowly begin to deepen your breath, it brings you back to the present.

Welcome to our meditation series. The theme for this month is Letting Go and Release.
The meditation for Day 2: Releasing Past Regrets.
Find a quiet comfortable space where you can sit or lie down without being disturbed.
Close your eyes and bring your attention to your breath.
Inhale deeply through your nose, filling your lungs, and then exhale slowly through your mouth, letting go of tension.
Feel the weight of your body as you relax, pressing downwards, anchoring you firmly to the present moment.
Picture yourself standing beside a calm river. The water flows gently, the surface reflects the sky.
In your hands, you hold a small paper boat.
Think of a past regret. Allow yourself to feel the emotions tied to that regret, but without judgment. Understand that the regret was simply a part of your journey.
Write about this regret on the paper boat. Write as much detail as you like.
Gently, when you are ready, gently place the boat on the river’s surface and watch as it drifts away.
As it floats further and further away from you, visualize the weight of that regret diminishing, you becoming lighter and the small paper boat becoming further and more distant.
Say to yourself: “I acknowledge my past, but I choose to live in the present. I release this regret and open myself to new moments, experiences, and growth.”

Take a deep breath, filling yourself with fresh air and the promise of the present.
Exhale any lingering negative emotions, imagine them flowing out with your breath.
Gently place your hands over your heart, feeling its steady rhythm. Remind yourself that each heartbeat represents a new moment and opportunity.
Gradually bring your attention back to your surroundings.
Wiggle your fingers and toes, feeling the sensation as you ground yourself back in the present.
When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes, carrying with you the lightness of release and the embrace of the present.
Remember, regrets are natural, but they don’t have to define you.
Come back to this meditation anytime you feel weighed down by past decisions.
You can use it to help find peace and move forward.
