I wake up every morning
wondering what the day will bring
sunshine, love, and flowers
happiness bursting at the seams

Focusing on the positive
gets me right on through the day
knowing things are always
always working out my way

For I have learnt to trust in
something larger than myself
an innate sense of letting go
and embracing all that is to come

But every now and then I fear
a bump, a pit that sets me back
a falling off the cliff of trust
losing my hard won confidence

And then all at once I am reminded
of the wonders of this world
the greatest joy in smallest things
cumulus clouds and sunshine, insects by the stream.

Slowly, slowly I find my footing
that soothing voice in my head is back
the one that tells me ‘You really are doing fine’
‘There’s a lot more than meets the eye’

So I sigh and take a breath
and remember to enjoy the journey
for isn’t that what it’s all about
more than just an A to B

For it’s those little spaces in between
the ones that no one tells you of
the magic that happens all your life
happens most when you are living

The fullness of each day
immersed in every little second
being present, being near,
wholly, fully, completely here.
