The Journey of My Dreaming

The journey of my dreaming
Takes me places I’ve not yet been
Familiar landscapes and far off beauty
Rugged terrain where adventures beckon

Steep cliffs and sandy banks,
Mountain edges and splashing falls
Breath-taking vistas
I see them all

The journey of my dreaming
Beyond the views my eyes can see
My heart feels a longing
For desires that have no name

The measure of satisfaction
That no longer needs to be filled
The over-flowing cup of happiness
Ready, willing, joyfully serving all.

The journey of my dreaming
Through this life is what I see
For in all things that appear physical
In my dreams they first begin

There is no right or wrong
In just how to fill our days
So long they give us comfort
Triumph and bliss, delight for all.

The journey of my dreaming
Takes me through thunderous ways
Dark clouds rolling, high winds howling
Starless nights and endless grey days.

But nothing stays the same forever
There’s time, that always marches on
The dawning of a new day
Brings a new beginning to all.

The journey of my dreaming
Is just what this life has seen
For through the hills and valleys
What a journey it has all been.
